PADI System was created 38 years ago in the U.S.A. Today it is the biggest and most competent world organization engaged in instruction on recreational diving. Over 70% of world diving centres operate under PADI standards.

Despite the variety of diving training systems, only the PADI certificate guarantees its acceptance at any world resort or diving centre.

World spread of major skin-diving training systems

A giant in the underwater business industry having a network of underwater diver training centres in all well-known marine resorts. Perfect and elaborated system of diver training, rigid control over instructors, eliminating unprofessional work.Professional PADI structures (diving centres, resorts, instructors, assistant instructors, diving masters) teach skin-diving all over the world, issuing annually about 946,000 diver's certificates.PADI professionals perform submerging and investigation of sub aquatic world according to high standards of training, safety and service.

PADI is an international structure with its head offices in Austria, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Great Britain, and USA. The headquarters are located in California, USA. PADI centres involve over 100,000 professionals and more than 4,300 diving centres and resorts in more than 175 countries. Skin-diving training aids are published in more than 20 languages.

PADI is the only scuba diving federation holding courses, that are acknowledged by the US Council for Education as qualifiedly college credits.

Four PADI instructors are working in our diving centre:

IRINA - PADI IDS Staff Instructor;
ALEXEY - PADI, TDI Instructor;
ALEXANDER- PADI Instructor;

PADI IDS Staff degree invests them, besides the above-mentioned courses, with the competence to train also for obtaining the qualification of an Assistant Instructor.

The mentioned prices constitute the total cost of the course and include all expenses (theoretical studies, dives in open and confined water, outfit rental, log book, training aids for the training period, and cost of certificate).

Individual schedule of studies is agreed with a customer.

Studies within Open Water Diver (theoretical) course are held downtown at a time convenient for you. Confined water diving is arranged in Zolitude and Pinki basins while open water dives takes place in Sloka and Kauguri quarries.

All summer practical studies from June to September are held in open water in Sloka quarry.

Winter time studies are dedicated to theory and contained water diving skills (reservoir), after completion of which course a "Referral" form will be issued to you enabling to legalize your open water training on presentation of such form to a PADI instructor at any spot of the world within 12 months. In this case the cost of the course is split into two parts. Besides, you can combine open water training with one of our tropical trips or complete the course by the spring/summer season.

PADI Open Water Diver course students shall be 15 and older while PADI Junior Open Water Diver admits teens starting with 10.
